Glides or felt pads are one of the most common things to forget. You buy some new bar stools and the bottom of the legs have no pads or glides on them and in a week or so the damage can be done to your wood floor. This is easily preventable simply by putting glides on them on or checking when you buy your new chairs. Another good idea is to check to see that the pad or glide is still there. They frequently fall off. In the case of a nylon glide held in place by a nail: if it comes off and you move the piece you are going to do some damage. Fortunately there is an easy solution to this problem. The Exact Match Wood Floor repair kit is an easy to use kit that can repair floor scratches easily. It’s a three step process.
#1 Knead the epoxy- Cut off a small piece and knead a small piece in your fingers for about a minute.
#2 Fill the scratch with the epoxy and remove the excess using our special scraping blade. This blade won’t hurt your floor but it will remove the epoxy from the floor and leave itin the scratch.
#3 Pick a color, activate the stain on the card and touch it up.
The results are permanent and the color match will be invisible to the eye.
